87 240 DL Fuel Pump??
I was driving the 240 and punched the acelerator and she died and would not start. She turns over and acts like she is starving for fuel. Could it be the fuel pump or something else? I would like to get her on the road before the next hurricane.
Many Thanks for your time and thoughts.

You can hear if the fuel pump is running.
Just flip the key to start briefly and release.
Listen under the car and if you hear the pump run for a few seconds as per normal, then the fuel pump is running.
If not, check the fuse.

Just to warn you, my fuel pump went out on a road trip recently, and it turns out that there are TWO pumps (at least in my '91) inline. I guess it made sense to replace both just to avoid the problem of dealing with another one down the road. Just be prepared to figure out which one if not both needs to be repaired/replaced.
Check the fuel pump relay, if you haven't already. It's on the passengers side on the fire wall. I had the same problem with my wagon. I bought a fuel pump and it turned out to be the relay. Just disconnect it and tap it on your hand a couple of times and hook it back up.
