Default 87' 740 bendix brakes w/2 Guide Pins

I got pads for my girlfriends front brakes, they are the bendix calipers, the pads the parts store gave me were the ones with out the guide pins. The pads on there have the guide pins, are they interchangeable?

When you say guide pins, do you mean the tabs or ears on the pads? The ones with the tabs are the new style and use 3516813 springs, which are generally included with the pads. The common number for these pads is either D1169 or M1169. The tabless variety is only available in a few varieties and uses a different spring, 9157717. The PBR number for the older style pads are D536D or M536D. As long as you have the springs with the new pads you should be fine.

Thanks, I had the springs. But I took them back and ordered the new parts with the tabs/ears.
