88 740 8v starting issue
Ok new parts AMM, FPR, injectors, TPS, fuel pump relay
Ok I can get the car to start with starting fluid and holding the gas then let off gas and it idles up and down some times it will run like this for a minute or two and if i unplug the AMM the idle goes to 2500 and holds steady
I just read about the radio supression relay Ill have to look for that and I want to repalce the reference sensor but one isnt listed for an 88?
thanks for the help

Have you tried to diagnose the problem by checking to see what is missing, e.g. spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse?
The reference sensor is in the distributor, if you have spark, it's probably OK, though they do fail. Check the connector to it, they are plastic and they break and cause the wires to short out.
The suppression relay powers the injectors. It is a black relay, it should be on or near the shock towers, there are 2, one is for the radiator fan. You can sway them and see if it helps.

Ok I got it running
the relay on the coolent bottle w/ key on 12v on one side and 8v on the other (thick red and thick green w/red tracer)
So I jumped them and it starts
So this means my relay is eating 4v? needs to be repaced or I'm reading a voltage drop from something else?
