My brake lights stopped working suddenly. Ive been trying to fix the problem for awhile at first i thought it was just my switch and got a new one and have the same issue. I saw people were saying it could be the bulb failure relay and found a used one the swap out and still no response.
i am still getting power to the tail lights but not the brake lights.
I finally got ahold of a light tester and found i am getting no power at all to the brake lights. What can i or should i try to do next?

 

Some people replace their brake light switch - when actually they are replacing the cruise control cut off switch. The brake light switch is way up there and sometimes difficult to get to. Check for power at the brake light switch, with your $5 test light, if no power check the fuse . check for power coming out of the brake light switch when you push the pedal. That goes to the bulb out relay where it is distributed to the 3 brake lights.
