'89 Volvo 240DL, Crank, No Start
Hello again,
You guys helped me on an issue I had on my Mom's Volvo and now looking for some guidance to a No Start issue for my Sister's '89 Volvo 240 DL.
Work on a lot of old mechanical Diesels and Carbbed motors, so not to good with electronics, but have experience.
It's Got:
-Good Compression
-Good Spark
-Good Fuel Pressure AND is getting fuel, can smell it in the Exhaust when Cranking
-Good Fuel
-New Fuel Pumps
-New Filter
-New Rotor, Cap, Wires and Plugs
-New Air Filter
-New Timing Belt
I was driving it to the Smog shop and Started run rough then died, prier to that ran great.
After, a bit it decided to start, but ran rough.
When I got it home it was missing and when I pulled the Oil cap it was puffing out Blow-By (Which it never did before). After I shut it off, hasn't Started, not even popped off.
Not sure what's going on,
Is there something electrical I'm overlooking?
OR
Another System I'm overlooking?
It's got Fuel, Spark, Compression & Air.
Thanks,
VinnyVolv

Is the timing belt still attached and correctly aligned? When was it replaced?
89 might have a engine speed sensor - the insulation comes off the wiring and wrong signals are sent. If it has one (and an empty distributor other than a rotor button)
Have you checked for self diagnostic codes? (info below)
What's the fuel Fuel pressure? Does the white 25amp blade fuse for the fuel injection near the battery have good connections?
