90' 940 GLE electrical problem
Hi all, my first post here =)
I'm the proud owner of a 90' 940 GLE 2.3i. Everything was running fine til yesterday, when I noticed that whenever I turn on the high beams or front backup lights the wipers start working automatically. I checked the lights from outside with the following results:
- The low beams works ok on its own.
- The wipers works ok on its own, I checked all the wipers functions.
- When I turn on the front backup lights, the wipers start working, no matter if the wipers switch is turned on, turned off, etc.
- When I turn on the high beams, the wipers start working, no matter if the wipers switch is turned on, turned off, etc.
- When both low beams and backup lights are on, the wipers start working and I loose some lights on the left side.
- When both low beams and high beams are on, the wipers start working and I loose some lights on the left side.
Any experience with something as weird as this? I think there's a lost ground somewhere but I dunno where to check first. Any ideas?
Excuse my bad english and thanks in advance

RE: 90' 940 GLE electrical problem
That is very weird.
I would check the wiring in the steering column first then back track and try to find the Grounds.

See if those wiring Diagrams will help you.
