'91 240 Auto-trans Leaks
After a head gasket job, auto trans leaks fluid from top to bottom of the transmission area. The leak is not from the transmission pan/gasket. Shop said not caused by their job and don't know what causes it. Any suggestion?

The front seal on the trans could be leaking.The tailshaft could be leaking.There is also o-rings behind the fittings where the trans line bolt to the trans.They leak somethimes.

When we shift on reverse there is some kind of chattering noise. Hoist the car up, see the shift link (only on reverse) hit the rotating shaft making that noise.
The cause is the broken axle mount that sag the AT and cause the front seal leak. Case close. And thanks again.
