Default Swapping a 97 auto trans for a 95 trans

OK Folks, here's the deal !
I need to know if the two wires coming from the speed sensor (yellow/brown and green/yellow) on the '97 Volvo 850 auto box go to any thing other than the spedometer? I've traced it as much as I possibly can, and it seems to only go to the speedo, but I'm not compleetly certain. I've searched hi and lo for cct diags, but cannot find any. I'm changing my '97 auto box for a '95 auto box, and this speed sensor seems to be the only difference. There must surely be someone out there who can help?

Thanks
Pat

Most people have problems with the cruise when they do that.

Well, I'm lucky coz I don't have cruise controle. There is a difference in the number of pulses per RPM of the road wheels. 54 pulses for the 97 box and 48 for the 95 box, but I have the spedo from the donor car so that if there are no other issues I will be able to overcome that problem. My question is, is the speed signal from this scource used anywhere else?
