Need HELP
When the weather is damp or it's humid. Only on starting the car in the morning.The car starts right up but when I give it some gas it spudders and sometimes it stalls out.Then on restart it takes awhile to get the car started . Today I drove for 2 blocks and the car stalled at a stop sign. When the car warms up it runs great. I cleaned the MAP and put in a new air filter and new vacuum lines for the EGR.Fuel filter was changed at 110K. Any ideas ?

When was the last time you replaced your wires,cap and rotor? Also pull back the boot on the Mass Air Flow meter connector and look for corrosion.

 

Did tune up around 5 years ago. Which is about 20K on the car. I'll try anything. I'll tune it up. Do you think it could be the oxygen sensor ? Be cause the car runs great when it warms up. The MAP boot looks fine.

5 years is a long time for spark plug wires. try this. when the car is cold, and its damp out, at night, where its nice and dark, open the hood, have your friend start the car, and see if you got a light show under there... if you see blue sparks all over the place, you DEFINITELY need new plug wires. get the bouigicord set, like Volvo Igntion Wire Set (240 244 245 940) Bougicord 272194 | FCP Euro
