I have a 91 740 and am trying to locate the ECU. I found one computer in the passenger side kick panel manufactured by Bendix which I am told is the ignition control computer. I was also told the ECU is on the right side of the dash, but have had no luck in finding. I have removed the entire glovebox and don't see anything.Also was wondering how to determine if my car is equipped with EGR or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

Do you have a Square coil?
If not then that is the ECM. If you do then I think it is under the Drivers side.

To tell if you have EGR see if you have a Metal pipe that comes off the Exhaust Manifold and goes over to the intake area.
