'91 740 Simultaneous codes 232, 132 Regina
We just got our first check engine light in many years. It appears that we have a Regina system so I extracted the codes for it.
232 is an O2 sensor but 132 is a voltage high/low I'm suspicious that with both codes being thrown at once, the problem might be something else. Is 132 an injection system voltage error or general battery/charge system? Any thought on what might cause both codes at the same time? Thanks. Den |
Any drivability problems/symptoms? I'd first reset the light by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, see if it comes back. The OBD is far from perfect, any electrical glitch may set off a code without any further issues.

I was able to reset the codes and got a 1-1-1 return. As soon as I started the engine the check engine light remained on. Tomorrow I'll disconnect the battery and see if the results are different.
The car has had a tough time idling on very cold mornings but I blamed the need for new plugs and perhaps wires for that. No other symptoms. Ran fine today after starting the engine above. |
Well, if you need a "tune up", a good way to start... Use NGK plugs and Bougicord wires to make sure those are not the issue...
