92 940 1-2-2 Code
Hey all, been having idling issues after cleaning my throttle body. Prior to cleaning the throttle body, the car would stall, rarely, but sometimes the idle would go so low the car would want to die out. I cleaned the throttle body, then began having a high idle, around 1500rpms. When the car was driven for about 10 minutes, the idle would stabilize, so I figured the computer was relearning. About two hundred miles later, the problem has worsened. However, today the 940 threw the check engine light. I checked it out and got the 1-2-2 code. According to volvoclub, the code means, "Signal missing or faulty to/from air temperature sensor - Air temperature sensor." Has anyone had the air temp sensor go out on them? Could there be underlying issues here? I'm hoping that this is all that's wrong, and plan on replacing it soon.

If you have a regina car, there is an air temp sensor in the air intake hose near the air filter. If you have a bosch fuel injection system the air temp sensor is part of the air mass meter.

Thank you, I have a regina car and used one of the service manuals I have to find it. I cleaned the part and the light went off; I cleared the codes after.
