I have new problem now. I hope to you can help me out!!

Working a lot on my 240 now days, I replaced:
New water pump, New coolant hoses, New coolant, New thermostat, New temperature sensor and New serpentine belts. All cooling work was just prevent future fault for my 150K/20 years old car, I was doing timing belt anyway....

Car runs very much fine and it was non problem before I did all the work. I fixed air conditioner and since then with or without AC, temperature needle almost hit to red zone. Coolant is very high temp.

First, I thought Temperature sensor was wrong, so I changed it anyway because i had parts already. But symptom was same, then I thought new replacement Thermostat was something wrong, so I tried an another new one from local auto shop. The first driving test in town was totally back to normal condition, meeter needle was about middle all the time.
The second ride yesterday., it back to high temp again.

There is probably no leaks. (I don't have pressure tester, but I guess, I don't see any leak or smell) Cap on reserver is original from when i purchased which is looking pretty good. Coolant was not bad color at all when I purchased car so I assume radiator core itself is pretty healthy, no oils or brown things in coolant. Top hose get very hot and bottom is cooler which I guess normal.

Sounds like you have air somewhere in the system. Did you have the heat on when you filled the system? A big air bubble in the system will cause the problem you are having. If you have a repair manual it should explain how to bleed the cooling system.

I didn't do bleeding with Heater ON. That's probably the problem.
I should have carefully read manual for this.

After I read your message, I just run several blocks around my house with heater full running with reserver cap half open and see how it works without draining coolant... It seems temperature stay middle center for now.

just fyi, no 240/740/940 has a 'serpentine belt', they all have conventional v-belts. 'serpentine belt' refers to a single belt that loops around all the aux stuff

 

I see.. 240 has conventional V-belts, that's nice to know.
My other car, Sprinter van has serpentine belt that I was remembering name as belt for the engine
I think I like better Volvo V-belt system, has nice simple adjuster does good job.
