93 940 AC Compressor squealing
Here is the story.
I somehow stripped the tensior tension bolt to the A/C compressor, so I obviously wasn't able to tighten the belt so I removed it so it wouldn't just sit there flappin. I finally got some time today (about 3 weeks later) to get that bolt out and put a new on and put the belt back on. Everything went fine, A/C works great, however, when I drove down the road the compressor made a terrible squealing noise. I quickly turned the A/C off and the noise stopped, so I just went on my way. As I was coming home I decided to try it out again, I feel the compressor engage and the A/C starts blowing cold air. 20 secs later it makes that awful noise agian. I turn it off once again. I stop off to pick something up, jump back in the car, and start the A/C back up. It runs great for 20-30 secs and then makes the awful noise again, but it stops after about 10 seconds. So it's more of an intermittant thing. I tried it out several times after that, and got the same results each time. Any idea what could be causing this? The noise is quite annoying, and I'd like to eleminate it.

Also you can check the bearing on the compresor clutch, it might be dried or need replacement.
The previous comment can also be correct since you touch the belt and might be disaligned

I don't really know how the belt could be mis-aligned. There is only one path to the crank pulley and that is it. Anyone know how I'd lubricate the bearings in the compressor?
Cant lube the bearings in the compressor.
Stand on the drivers side and see if the belt look out of alignment at all.
If so start over again to adjust. Get the belt close then tighten the rear bolt for the compressor. Then tighten the adjuster a little more to make it straight.
