Default 94,940problems

HI eveyone, Im new to this site and look forward to many discussion involving my favourite vehicles.
I have a question for you.
I have a 1994 940 with 272,000+ kilo's on it.
Lately when coming from a stop the cars moves very slow until it hits 15-2500 rpms. Sometimes take off is a little jerky.
I noticed it once today and checked the shift lock - nothing, when my wife took it out, she said it was worse, and stalled twice.
I havent yet checked the plugs, as I bought this car used and dont have any records on service. I will tomorrow, but if you have any other ideas of what to check out would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a fuel problem. So start with the filter, pump, etc.. Your description is a little brief but it MAY be a slipping tranny... Let's hope not.

Funny you shouuld say, I have noticed that if I out in high octane fuel, it does it less.
If it is the tranny would a sealant help it?

Do a fuel 'tune-up" first: change the fuel filter, clean the tank pump pick up screen, clean the injectors (run some cleaner through the injection), and see the result. Then worry about the rest if there is no improvement. A tranny sealant seals leaks...
