Things are slow on the Board this weekend so I'll stir it up a bit!



Had my 94 Wagon (B230F non-turbo) about 6 weeks now. I'm charting my fuel mileage and I'm getting about 20 MPG. (US gallons)

I freely admit that I'm using regular gas, plus I'm carrying 400 pounds of cargo at all times. It's been cool here in the Eastern US so I'm not running the A/C much, at all.

The engine is in good tune, the only thing on my "To-Do List" is to replace several of the vacuum line ends as they seem loose.

Can I expect any better fuel economy than this? If so, what can I do to achieve better?

(I tried a search of the Forum but I couldn't find anything on this subject except for Turbos)

The vaccum lines if they are leaking then when you fix them you might get a little better milage.

 

I looked up the US Goverment fuel mileage data for the 94 wagon:

940 WAGON Auto (4Dr same) City: 21 Highway: 34 Combined: 26


The Turbo had the same city mileage.


Given the weight I'm carrying I think I'm in the ballpark...

WHAT IS EVERYONE ELSE GETTING?
