Default 940 GLE Turbo wagon, 1998, No light in the gear lever stick?

I had opened the console from the handbrake and the gear lever (automatic gear) side. Had uplifted the pastic cover on which, P, R, N, D, 2, 1 is written. Could also see the bulb inside the transparent plastic D type covering, but unluckly could not sxcess to the bulb holder.
The question is how to acess the bulb as to change it by the new one once i am at the above given stage of opening the console. I dont want to break any plastic part, thats why i stoped where i was. Your help will be highly appreciated

Hey, now im not 100% sure about this but, i think you can just grab the wire that leads to the bulb and pull it out. That is how i did it on my 91 740, but once again im not sure if thats how for your model.
