Morning, I have a sneaky suspicion that the turbo housing on my 940 is cracked, what are my options at this point? Is it weldable/repairable? Or is it time for a replacement, if so, where to begin with that hunt?

I would suppose how bad the crack is, but I would try to find a shop that does areospace welding as they have the best experience and equipment. That is what I did for my exhaust manifold.
I have a good condition turbo from my 740 that needs oil seals (not too difficult) that I would happily sell to you. If interested, PM me.

 

I wouldn't bother to weld a cracked turbo - I'd go with a replacement. You can find compatible parts on Amazon or eBay or go used (bookmark car-parts.com to search yards) by taking up admasters offer. Rebuild kits go for like $40 and there are vids on Youtube for how to. You may even be able to find replacement compressor wheels on eBay etc if you're interested in bumping up the turbo's pumping capacity :-)
