Air Mass Sensor Volvo 93 240
My service engine code says that I need to check the Air Mass Sensor. Being new to Volvo repair ...
Where is this located?
How do I check the resistance to know that the AMM does indeed have a problem?
Any suggestions on a replacement? I've seen them priced from $99 to $350.

The amm is located immediately next to the air filter box inline w/ the large black tube that directs air into the throttle body. The amm has a large connector plug which sometimes can have a poor connection. Buting a new or reconditioned amm is seldom cost efficient. Not only are they quite expensive, the car will soon drain your pockets. It's an 18 year old car. Fix it right, but don't break the bank. After removing the amm, you will see some Bosch part numbers. If it ends in 016, you have the very common LH2.4 injection system. Used 016 amm's can be had for 30-40 bucks max. Many 93's are not LH2.4 but rather are LH3.1 Those amm's are a bit more expensive as they are less common, perhaps as much as $75.
