Default Battery Cable to short.

For my 1990 volvo 240 DL, I need a new Battery cable for the positive because mine is to short. How should I go about this? I notice one end has a special loop on it for the starter and the other end has a red hot wire going to it. Should I buy a ready made one for Volvo specifically? Or should I custom make one?

going to the wreckers would be the cheapest
otherwise you could make one

No, I have the extra cash so I want to use a new one. However, what about the end that connects to the starter? Because of that do I need to buy a pre-made one?

all different sizes of battery cables and ends are avail
i crimp and solder all the time at my marine job
but these battery cables are nothing special
and i would still recommend the wreckers
new copper is very expensive
plus the lugs
plus some labor time
and you might find another part or two while you are there
