does anyone know if older 77-79 244s were built in the factory in bertone italy or was it only the bertone coupes, i ask because my 79 244dl has a built an info badge on the passenger strut tower that said it was built in bertone italy, however when i run the vin it says sweden, yet i dont know if the vin had to be changed because the car was imported by the owner.. he purchased it brand new back in 78 in europe and bought it back with him, i took the vin to the dealer and they couldnt get anything but a color code and they said the reason for that was because when cars are imported to america by the owners they recieve a new VIN and most of the time all the actual info from the car isnt transfered to the new VIN so i am jus wondering if any 4dr 200s were built in bertone, or did volvo jus have a normal factory in bertone italy. i jus figure sometimes there is something out there that people dont know about or dont believe like i keep hearing that there were never any diesel 262Cs yet i know someone who owns one and i have many of them in the junk yard last year and on ebay a few times
