Default Brake Booster singing

The car has a high pitch squeal when applying the brakes, even when not moving , emanating from under the dash where the brake pedal enter the booster.
I guess the seal is going bad on the input side of the booster.
Questions: 1.How long do think I can keep running the car as is?
2. Can it be rebuilt ( replacement cost $100 with shipping)

Any help would be appreciated,

Pat

1989 740T. I'm not sure it it has ABS, on the steering wheel it says ABS but their doesn't seem to be a control module for it , just a regular looking master cylinder that I replaces last year.

I bet the steering wheel says SRS. Yes ,boosters can be rebuilt but they are so common, a salvage yard may be less money. Occasionally I see NOS on eBay for cheap.

Yep, you are right. It says 'SRS'. Guess I will replace the booster . Thanks for the info.
