My daughter drives a 1990 DL Wagon and needs a good repair shop in the Brevard, NC area that can work on a Volvo. Brevard is about 30 mins or so south of Asheville. We have tried Larry's Performance Werks in the past but he does not want to work on older models, ditto with Import Auto Performance. (both of these shops are in Asheville)

I called the number and they said they do not work on Volvos. However, he knows of someone else in Hendersonville and is going to find the name and number of the shop.
I will reply when I get the info.

 

I can't for the life of me figure out why someone would not want to work on the older Volvos. I have newer and older Volvos and I prefer to work on the older ones, although its the newer ones that are always in need of work.

 

Because you can't hook up a scan tool and have it diagnosis the problem for you?

There is an indie Volvo shop here in Columbus... open since 1985... that I've never known to turn away a redblock. 3 of the 5 redblocks I've bought have come with service records from that shop. The owner drives a p1800 I believe.
