Since its a pain finding the 940 turbo(only 1) my good friend Lucky_Avalon, suggested that i buy a turbo engine from the dealership, a B230ET to be exact. What do you guys think about this? and how much do you think it would cost?

You might have to get e EUR chip.

No if you order the enigne It won't come with it.
They will think it is just going into a car that is already setup.

I think the entire setup will be like $2000.00 or $3000.00 or more.

Also if it is a 16V engine make sure you always change the timing belt when it is done.

Best bet would be to buy the B230FT then build from there.

They can made to Run 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile.
That should be plenty of Power for you.

I would keep searching E-bay or try to find a Car that was in an accident that you can get all the Parts from.

I would buy everything used.

I have a 242 that I'll be converting to a V8. I have a beautiful Chevy 350 V8 here, with 400HP (suggested) that is going in my little two door once he comes back form painting.

A B234FT doesn't exist(unless you make one by modifying a B230FT, block with a B234F or B204FT cylinder head and exhaust manifold).... the only 16V that is turbo is the B204FT, marketed only in Europe (italy, greece)

If you can get a B230FT, or a B230ET, would be great.

Good Luck!!!!!

I prefer to get the B230FT, I hope that the price they give me is like 3k, and for installation like.....600 dollars.....AND ILL DO IT FOR SURE!! you best believe that girl!

And since its gonna be a brand new engine, Problems free =]

I just called the volvo and they said that they are going to call the Volvo in Guatemala, that they have a lot of 940T that have been in wrecks and such, and that they can find that out for me. I asked for the price on a new engine, and they said that the guy who deals with that wasnt there, so im going to try again later, but yeah =-] he said i will need the computer and the harness and also the engine mounts

And if i do this, Then i will need to purchase the turbo emblem for the back, the turbo instrument cluster, turbo grill, euro lights, new rims , Since im going to be keeping the car, ill make it really shine! and maybe in a future leather seats !! I believe to do that, is like 1.5k, Maybe in December 2007 or January 2008!

Im excited, thank YOU SO MUCH FOR THE IDEA LUCKY!!

My bad, i meant to say B230ET..And a B204FT would be too much trouble, those valves....Wait what is a B230ET then?

Is this the computer you are talking about tech?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8062969312

That's off a 740 turbo, but im sure it will work...right?

Call Me Crazy, but I have a 91 940 Turbo Wagon with a 5.0 Ford in it. Your friend Lucky_Avalon is on the mark, a installation kit from Converse Engineering is $950.00, you would have to find a 1993 or older Mustang motor and a handfull of related parts. Visit www.converseengineering.com for everything you need to know about this conversion. My motor was out of a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer and is a kick in the pants to drive, what with 287 foot pounds of torque...and 219 HP. He only does this in house and it was turn-key at $8200.00. My 940 5.0 can be seen on one of the other Volvo Forums.... www.volvo-forum.com and look under members garage. I also have a 940 4-door that I drive for work.

Wedwagon
