Cam Shaft

Cam Shaft
Ok in my '85 240 DL...
I wanna do something to increase my acceleration. Its an automatic. It has a bit of top end power but acceleration is pathetic... most likely due to the weight of the car. Labour cost isn't an issue to me. So is a new cam shaft a good way to speed it up a bit? Like a racing one or something would it make a noticeable difference?
And secondly if this is a good way to go... How much do they go for?
Thanks. Graham

RE: Cam Shaft
I have heard of many people putting in a cam and they noticed a pretty big difference.
