Hey all you 940 turbo drivers,

I have a 94' 940 turbo wagon it has 120,000 miles on it and I am currently running castrol 10w-30 in the winter and 10w-40 in the summer. I was thinking about maybe switching to Rotella, considering it is a turbo and the mileage. What do you all think?

 

It depends on your climate. If it gets below 0 degrees F in the winter you are going to have trouble starting if you use 15W/40. I am using Castrol Syntec 5W/50 in my 88 765 tic. It is too thick and hurts gas mileage. I am going to use 5W/40 full synthetic either Castrol Syntec 5W/40 made in Belgium for Euro-Spec cars like VW, Mercedes, and BMW, or Rotella T full synthetic 5W/40, or Mobil 1 full sythetic Turbo Diesel 5W/40 at my next oil change.
