Default Checking continuity ECU to ECT

Hello everyone!
I spend the last 2 month throwing parts to solve the "cold stard problem" in my 1996 940 (B230FK), and I'm done with it. I need to find the answer.

The diagnostic shows a 1-2-3 code wich is the ETC sensor, which I already replaced. The problem is still there so I'm starting to think its some bad wire or conector.

I have read in other post that is possible to test with a multimeter if there is "good comunication" (continuity) between the ECU and the ICU.

Does someone know how to proceed to check if both control modules are well conected with my ECT sensor?

I need some good advice before starting to think of burning the car.

Check out this page

https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-9...eratureSensors

Read the section on "Diagnosing ECT Failures". It describes how to check the resistance of the ECT from the ECU. This method of checking it tests not just the sensor but the wiring to the sensor as well. The FAQ is meant for the 700/900 series but applies to your engine as well.
