Default chicagoland help!!!

Hi i need help. I have recently bought a 940 turbo from a friend of a friend.
i have been having issues with it and have taken it to a mechanisc a couple of times but the issues seem to be conected.

first it died. when trying to start it would crank and then die.
i took it to a "specialist" and he replaced the fuel relays.
it then worked

a couple of weeks ago it started to die when it idled. it would get under 500rpm and die. to keep it from dieing i would keep my foot on the gas at lights and keep it at 1000rpm. if it did die it would start again after a few trys or a minute or two.

now it just wont even start. it tries to but dies everytime. it cranks and cranks but chokes and stops. but now i can smell gas when it does this.

anyway to make a longstory short, i want to know if anyone has an idea what going on or if they know anyone in the schaumburg streemwood area that they trust, or if anyone in the area is willing to try to help me figure this out?

(i would take it bact to the mechanic but i felt jipped, and they were rude to me.)
thanks

Sounds like either a bad fuel pump, or a clogged fuel filter. Check both.

Change your fuel pressure regulator. $60 Autozone or Napa. I would do this first along with the fuel filters but the regulator fixes alot of starting problems along these lines.
