Default Converting Bosch to Regina Rex

I own seven 940 wagons, and one of my recent purchases was a 940 with a nice body with an engine that overheated and has some seal issues. I bought the car for my son to use at college, and figured to swap the motor with one from a rear-body totaled car with 84,000 miles; the engine runs sweet. Problem is, the recent purchase has Bosch ignition. The donor engine is Regina Rex. My questions are:

1. Can I put a Regina Rex-equipped engine right into the Bosch car and everything will work, or do I have to do extra work?
2. If I can't easily do the above, can I convert the Regina-Rex engine to a Bosch ignition system?
3. If neither the above are possible, what do you recommend?

Thanks so much!

the only issue I know of is whether or not it has a CPS (crank position sensor) .... Bosch LH2.4 (1989+ non--turbo, 1990+ turbos) use a CPS, older Bosch LH2.2 used a hall sensor in the distributor.

obviously, you'll want all the bosch running gear (injectors, harness, MAF, etcetc) moved over to the formerly-regina engine..

Default Preferences

FYI,
I should have said that all my other 940's are Regina Rex. My preference is to keep all my cars Regina Rex. If they were all Bosch, I'd stay with Bosch. All but the one came with Regina Rex, which I didn't even notice when I purchased it.

oh, to switch to Regina, you'll need to swap out the ECU, ICU (both behind the dash) and the engine wiring harnesses, along with airbox, intake manifold (with regina injectors), etc.

you won't need to swap the fuel pumps, both use the same operating pressure, so the bosch double pump system will work just fine.
