Does A/C condensor fan turn on with A/C?
Hi:
Is the fan in front of the condensor supposed to turn on whenever the A/C system is turned on?
On a side note, is there a wire in the engine bay that becomes hot the entire time the A/C system is turned on? I am thinking about wiring a relay to keep the condensor fan running whenever the A/C is turned on, regardless if the compressor is cycling.
Thanks.

Where's the low pressure switch? Are you referring to the one that's on the accumulator? Will the harness side of that switch's connector be "hot" regardless if the cycling switch is open or closed?

Some of them stay hot all the time with the A/C switch on.
Some power off when the compressor is off. You will have to test yours with either a test light or multi-meter.

Just to close the loop...
The Low Pressure Cut Out switch stays hot the entire time the A/C is turned on via the climate control switch in the cabin. I tapped the fan switch into this LPCO switch and now the auxillary fan turns on with the A/C, no matter what.
Thanks for your help.
