Hi,
My dome light in my 82' wagon does not always shut off when the door is closed like it should.
any ideas?

Does the light go off OK when the other doors (only) are open & closed?

If there is a delay circuit as in the 740/940, it's in the dome light, a little circuit board.

It's a 240.
the light has 3 positions: on, off, and on only when a door is open.
currently the on and off positions are working, but when in the 3rd position, the light is always on, regardless which doors happen to be open or closed.

 

Check the push buttons in the door jams.I will bet one is grounding on the body of the car.
