Default Engine overheats and i got no idea why

Alright so first off got a 78 244dl and i have replaced the thermostat and coolant temp sensor and it still goes right to the red on my temp gauge and of course i figured it has to be the water pump but its not leaking and it isnt making any noises that would lead me to think it wasnt working. So i can figure it out but i noticed that the water isnt getting pumped through the block at all so it must be the water pump but like i said it isnt broken, so any ideas what could be the problem. Any ideas will be greatly helpful!

The real best way is to use a Thermal thermometer I think they call it. I call it a laser thermometer.
Normally there should be about a 20 degree drop from one side of the radiator to the other.
