3.0 L overheats in gear at idle & full speed

3.0 L overheats in gear at idle & full speed

HELP ! My boat is a2000 Chaparral with volvo-penta 3.0 L. It runs well overall, but it overheats if I'm idling in gear or running the boat at full speed. Anywhere between is normal temp. Anyone have any ideas?

time to change out the water pump and t-stat and back flush
