Ferrari wheels on an 83 240

Hello everyone - first time post. I’ve found some Ferrari 360 wheels ( 5/108 ) and I’m beginning the process of trying to get them onto the 240 - anyone know much about fitting bigger wheels onto 240’s?

How wide and what diameter are the wheels?

you need to consider three things when fitting wheels. First is the bolt pattern,ie 5x108. Second is the center bore. Volvos are hub centric and rely on the hub's bore to center the rim. Volvo 240 hubs project a 65.1 mm center bore, so your rims need to be that size or larger or they won't bolt on without plates or hub rings. Finally is offset. 240s use a 25mm offset on a 5.5 or 6 inch rim. If your new rims are say 8 inches and a 25 mm offset, the rim will be one inch closer to the fender and one inch closer to the strut/shock etc. Best to google around for maximum rim width that can fit without rolling the wheel arch etc.

Hey mt6127, thanks for the advice - looking into the wheels have a 67.1mm bore so should work either with some sort of adapter or none if I’m lucky, I think the main issue will be the rear wheel width, as its 11.5 wide so it’s going to be a struggle to get them under without having to bend the arches. I’ll keep the thread updated as I go

from my research online they are 19 x11.5 on the rears And 18x8.0 on the front, the offset is 31mm on the front and 39 on the rears. The pcd is 5/108 so same as the Volvo. Might need to buy/ make some sort of ring/spacer to make wheel push more towards the fender and less towards the strut depending on how they fit when on

After doing some calculations the fronts should just slide on fine as they are only 8 inches wide but the rears may struggle a bit, the wheel height is actually nearly identical due to the lower profile tires. But I will very likely need to push out the inside of the fenders. Image is comparison of the two:

Wouldn't it be simpler to just buy a car with bigger fenders? Many full size Fords are 5x108. Remember, they aren't making any new 240s anymore.
