Finally I drove my 940 turbo
Well finally I drove my "new" 1995, 940 Turbo wagon, it really was a great experience, but I have some questions and maybe you all can help me
1. I feel the car kind of braked, When I shift to D the car wont move unless I hit the pedal a little, I did change the front pads and did some work on the discs, the rear brakes were almost 70% new so i didnt do anything on them. Could it be just a matter of using it since it was parked for more than 3 months?
2. I was pressing the brakes really hard to test them and I breaks good the only thing is that makes a metal sound like clack!! when pressing them too hard and it feels like disengage the braking. Could it be something with the ABS for being seating too long?
3. The gas pedal feels too hard to press and I noticed that the gap between the pedal and the middle part of the car where the rug is is almost none. Is the pedal itself like that or I can do something to loosen it a little.
4. I cant tell when the turbo engages, I tried a couple of times to hit the gas but couldnt tell if the turbo was doing something or not.
Can someone let me know what should I expect if the Turbo is running or it is just a normal acceleration on the car. Meaning with this, Should I feel a mighty pick up when turbo comes in?
5. I had it parked on a mall and looked at the car from 10ft, enjoining the view, but I notice that the front of the car is kind of higher that the back. Is that normal....I cant feel like the shocks are bad on the back.
Thanks all for your help on my questions and remember I am a new Volvo owner and Know nothing regarding this car. But I am very happy with it.

1. Yes it might be from sitting. Pull the E-brake up a little and drive around the block to get all the rust off the inside of the rear rotor.
2.The ABS might have kicked it but it usually rumbles through the pedal.
3.The Throttle body might need a good cleaning.
4.If you are pressing the gas pedal hard you should feel and hear the turbo kick in.
If you accelerate slowly you should be able to hear it kick in.

Thanks for your answers Tech.
You did mention regarding the throtle body, is that something i can do and where it is located.
Regarding the back part of the car looking lower than the front you didnt answer my question there, is that a normal look and that car?

The throttle body is on the L/S of the car on the engine There is a big rubber hose that goes to it.
3 13MM nuts hold it on. Remove it and clean it. Make sure you get a new gasket first though.
You need to find out if the car have Nivomats. They are self adjusting shocks. If it does either they didn't pump back up after sitting or they are bad.
If they are bad you will be better off buying new springs and converting to gas shocks.
The Nivomats are like $300.00 each.
