Default Foglight Placement

I want to put in some AFtermarket fogs, Either on the front bumper infront of the grille, belwo the valance integrated into the lower black part of the bumper or hanging upside down on the sides of the liscense plate. Any ideas or personal opinions, Square rectangled shapes vs round?? I need some input.

Fog lamps should always be below the bumper to work best. Of course, if it's an aesthetic thing rather than functional, then put them where ever. I like to keep my cars looking relatively stock. That's just a personal opinion though; slapping a bunch of bolt on, stick on gadgets on to a 20-30 year old car to me is something a teenager does w/ limited resources. The 7/9's are pretty square in design...I think rectangular lamps look better. Beginning in 90, fogs became options on turbos. They changed the under bumper valance so retro fitting lights from an 89- car isn't easy. Volvo offered Fogs on the SE model as well as options on the standard trim package. Here's the standard, 90+ fog lamps. Not my car but I had the pic to see what the lamps would look like. The pics of the lamps themselves are mine, or I should say were, as I sold them 6 months ago. They are extremely scarce.

yeah i like that alot. I just need a better alternative to the stock fogs for this upcoming winter, i like to see all around me. I think the rectangular look, looks great. How hard is it to find that lower bumper valance? Or should i just see if i can place some rect. fogs in the bottom infront.

The valance is already on your car; it's that portion underneath the front bumper that has the second grill in it. To mount the o.e. fogs, it's necessary to cut into the valance which meand the fogs either have to stay there or f you ever got rid of them you'd need to find a non-ventilated valance. In the end, that's why I sold the one's I had...really didn't want to cut the car up. It might be the simplest thing to do to just mount them from the bottom side of the bumper.
