Front brake pads and rotors

I need to replace my front brake pads and rotors. I would like to know if I should use Akebono brake pads or the OEM Volvo brake pads? I would also like to know which brand of rotors should I use?

I used Wagner ceramic pads on our 89 740. No noise and clean. I just bought rotors from Autozone. All are made in China anyway.
