Fuel pump question
Hi guys,
Ive got a 1982 245 DL wagon. I finally got around to replacing my in-tank fuel pump but im still concerned that it might not have fixed the problem. To make a long story short before i changed the pump , i was at a grocery store and it started bucking like it was starving for fuel (but i had gas) and i barely made it home after it stalled about 7 times. Anyhow i posted on here and most thought it was the in-tank pump so i replaced it. Now i still hear the loud pump noise but i havent driven it enough to heat up the pump and see if the cars gonna quit on me again. Im just concerned because my pump, im not sure which it is but its Loud , like really loud. Are old volvo pumps just loud or is my car still not getting enough fuel? By the way my car has K-Jet injection. What do you guys think? Along with the in tank pump i changed the o-ring and the screen (sock).
