funky sunroof... oh man please don't rain!
Tonight when I went to close the sunroof (metal top (not see through window)) on our newly purchased '88 240 GLE it was really hard to close. when I got out to look at it, I realized that the bottom left hand corner is not coming up to meet the body of the car. At this point I am sure that it will leak when it rains (predicted either tonight or in the next few days) Is there anything I can do to fix it? I don't know what caused it, other then I've been using it a lot the past two weeks that we've owned the car. OH MAN what am I gonna do? I simply cannot afford to take it in to be serviced until I get my money from school in two - three weeks.
Thanks for all your help.

Kate Curry

yes. I tried to bring it back and forth... it doesn't seem to be helping. It was harder to get closed at one point and I was worried that I was going to break the handle crank. I don't want to compound the problem! thanks for your help!
One other thing you can try is to remove the handle and try to make sure the sunroof it even on both sides and then reinstall the handle and see if it is better.
