Hot start problem and shaky rpm dial
Hello there
I'm new in this forum and I hope it isn't too bad manners to annoy you with a little problem that occurs to my 940 '95 2.0 turbo right now. It happens that, after some time idling or driving, the car stops and makes a hell to start again. You have to wait for some time and then it starts and drives with no further problem. During the last 3 months I've spotted that the rpm dial is a little shaky on cold starts. The needle moves with little jumps up or down. When the engine is hot this problem seems to stop. My OBD gives all 1-1-1 codes. I've thinked of the fuel pump relay or the rpm sensor. Wich one is to blame in your opinion? Many thanks and please forgive my bad english Daniele from Italy |
RE: Hot start problem and shaky rpm dial
I vote for the fuel pump relay.

RE: Hot start problem and shaky rpm dial
I'd had the same symptoms with my '93 940 Turbo. Took it in to a Volvo specialist locally, and it turned out to be the Ignition Control Module. Just a tip - hope it helps.
