How much should I pay? Need some help.
Need some help guys. Looking to make my first Volvo purchase...
Buddy of mine whom I work with is looking to sell is 90' 740 wagon. Its the turbo model and has around 225,000 miles on the clock. Im not sure how long these things run but the car appears to pull strong and handles well at 200+. Cosmetically the car needs some work - Front windshields cracked, rear tail light is busted out and theres dent on the body and the hood is bent as well.
Is it worth buying one of these with that much mileage on the motor? I was assuming that since its a turbo motor it should be built substantially well and hold it up for quite awhile... Correct me if I'm wrong?

I would suggest that you NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a car from a friend. If it runs, $500 would not be to bad.

Really my rule of thumb is this... Check the clean retail value from www.NDADGuides.com. Then back off all repair cost needed. Make your offer there. It sounds like this car has more body damage than the value.
