Interior Dash Color Question
When, if at all, did Volvo use tan dashes instead of the more common black? I am restoring/refreshing the tan interior in my 240 and was thinking of going all tan for everything, dash, lower instrument surround, coin tray, lower kick panel pieces, etc...
I've seen this picture and have seen dark blue dashes, but not much more in tan...
I just thought it would be different.

My dash was black and I redone it with tan. Thought it would help with heat. SEM Camel will be the closest paint to use. Here is a link that might give you info your looking for.

SEM camel is what I have used on the rest of my interior and you are correct, it is a near perfect match for the original tan interior color. Do you like the tan dash vs black?
Yes, I have some reflection but nothing that distracting. I figured if it was to distracting that I would buy one of those carpet dash protectors on it and planned buying one. But after I got it done; its not near as bad as I thought it would be. The SEM Camel is not a real glossy and I think that helps.
I was thinking the dash pad route as well. What got me thinking about an all tan interior was my 2007 Porsche Cayman. EVERYTHING in the interior is tan and I like the looks of it. I haven't noticed any annoying glare from the dash.
