Intermittent Staring Probleb

I have a 94 940T and it fails to start intermittently. I suspect the problem is fuel related. Any hints on how to trouble shot which of the normal suspects is at fault - fuel pump, relay, etc

RE: Intermittent Staring Probleb

Intermittent problems are hard to diagnose. Once the engine is dead, you have constant conditions. Go to www.stepbystepvolvo.com for a free diagnostic guide for 740 no-starts. 940 engine is similar.

RE: Intermittent Staring Probleb

pull the hose off the fuel pressure regulator and see if diapharam has hole in it (fuel should not be in vacuum line) this will cause starting problems when warm. some other suspects are fuel pump relay, electrical part of ignition switch, intank pre pump (if problem occurs at less than 1/2 tank of gas) or main pump if tapping on main pump makes car start.
