When i brake lightly on my 240, i feel the car jerking like the feel on a manual car while letting the clutch out too fast.. and when hard braking the jerking gets rougher and the trans shifter shakes with the jerk. any ideas? btw i have cross drilled rotors in the front. this occurs in the 1983 and 1991 245

Could be seizing piston/pads grabbing/over-worn rotors/warped rotors (run out beyond tolerance).
Did you drill the rotors yourself? Worth checking the friction material surface on the front pads for damage (especially leading edges) caused by drilled rotor surface & while you're doing that, check that the anti-rattle springs are properly secured & pad backing plates have a little copper grease on them where they contact the piston. Worth also checking that the calipers are securely mounted to recommended torque.
From your post, it seems that the problem occurred after cross-drilled rotors were fitted..... If the rotors were not manufactured to be cross-drilled, then suspect they may have warped or that surface was not skimmed smooth after drilling.
Take good care - cars should be considered unroadworthy with this fault Red XC.
Would be interested to know what you find please & the "fix"!

When i bought the car i felt vibrations everywhere, steering wheel and pedal. So i replaced the front rotors, and resurface the rear and slap on new pads/shims. The weird thing is, when im braking, the steering doesnt shake like the fronts were wraped, but the steering wheel turns L and R a little slowly.
I guess I'll do the whole brake system inspection, while rotating my wheels.
