Default leaking throttle shaft and turbo intake pipe

I posted another thread about this but wasn't so specific. vacuum/air leaks of course are a bad thing. my cars running like crap I put a smoke machine on the intake system and found the that the nipple on the pipe running from the turbo inlet to the MAF is leaking and the throttle shaft, the spring side.

I have doubts about a new pipe really doing a whole lot about the leak in the turbo pipe as it's pretty flexable, I could be wrong.

Can the throttle body shaft be sealed??? is there a seal on the side opposite of the throttle switch? I cleaned the TB and replaced an o ring and the throttle switch side, but didn't want to mess with anything to do with the spring.

Thanks.

The intake pipe to which you refer is a major cause of crappy performance. Older turbos spew oil into it at idle and it self destructs. I've seen them suck flat under boost. As for your TB, if it's leaking at the throttle pivot point as you describe, just get another. Yours is an 89 right? So...LH2.2 with the adjustable black idle screw? I have a box full of 'em. Shoot me a pm and I'll hook you up w/ one.
