I bet you could get 300 Hp easily if you did it right and I would suspect to pay around $3k or more.

S70driver is right...... near 400hp, but it will cost, because it is a lot of searching around thought. Initially you could qet a good camshaft, ECU chip, a bigger turbo and exhaust for less then 3K (by eBay standards), but to get even more power will requiere other money. But yeah easily can get your 250hp in a short time.

The turbo has 8V.... unless you are lucky enought to get the Italian version that is 16V... mmmmmm!! I want that!!!

Im thinking of getting the 940 turbo instead of the Lexus, becuase i was coming out of the movies, and i saw the car with the spoiler and everything, and it looked hot, and the ONLY REASON im changing the car is because the speed.......my car is way 2 slow....And the bad thing is that i cant remap the ECU or do anything to the engine of the ES300 :S What do you guys say? the only bad thing is that the turbo is a 92 model, so the shifter is the ugly square one

ewwwwwww.........8V!! Italian 16V MMMMMMM,,,,,,well my friend has the US specs car "I THINK" i mean the speedo is in miles, maybe they use that in italy? how can i know if its italian or US?

Unfortunately it was only marketed in Italy and Grece! But... hey.... having the 8V reduces the risk of stalling the motor due to the timing belt that results in bent valves and.... nasty results!!.... So... I KNEW YOU WOULDN'T BUY THE LEXUS....HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Stay with us... we love your spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!

The real question is....does this 940 have fewer problems than what you're driving? You can alway get a different shifter ****.

We can't tell you exactly what to do.
It is all up to you.

It has to be up to you.

You are the one that will either be Happy or Not.

We all make mistakes in life and live from them. (Not saying it would be a Mistake to buy it)

It may be the Best thing you do but only you can make the final decision.

On another not we are starting to sell and work on Lexus at our work.
I have driven a couple and IMO the lexus is overated. They DON'T Impress me at all.
The Power is slow to respond. The engine is either and Inline 6 or a V-6. I haven't felt good responce or a good seat of the Pants feel from either one.

I would take a 740 Turbo over them anyday.

I mean, i have heard that they are underpowered, but i heard that the suspension is like driving in heaven......Also, one question, lets say i put 400 HP in the lexus(even thou i cant) and 400hp on the 940 turbo....Would the 940 turbo be faster because it has less liters or what? Because i mean, i love the volvo, and the ES300 doesnt convince me very much

I think it would be faster.
And correct me if I am wrong. I believe the ES300 is a front wheel drive. 400HP in a front wheel drive will be a pain for a Daily Driver. The Torque steer will be a pain.

That is also coming from me which I would rather have a RWD than a FWD.

Really? whats not to like about the 740....your 940 is the same car...just re-badged and a few lines were changed. Plus the 740's have far fewer problems then the 940's thats why you see them for sale for 3 grand with 200,000+ miles on them.

The last year was 92' and its the same car. The only diffrence is the rear lights are smoother and the front head lights are tilted some. If you likethe 940 then you like the 740.

Im sorry, but when i speek of the 740 i mean to only talk of the 1990 and up. The ones from the 1980's i think look cool, but we all like diffrent things. I just mean that the 90 and up 740's are the same car as the 940's.
