Default It lives!

Bought this 740 for $500 with a blown HD and bad overheating. Fixed all of that--remachined the head, did the timing belt, aux. belts, few other maint. items and she's running. Still chasing some oil leaks (or perceived oil leaks) but for now, I'm pretty happy. I'm less than $1000 into the whole thing so far...

yeah the turbo sealed the deal. My mom had a 740 wagon that I thought was a total dog--that thing couldn't get out of it's own way! (well, I was in high school, so the speed addiction was savage)

How times change! I do love the 740 with the turbo. Still no race car, but fine for me at this point.

It still has a few issues, biggest one is an oil leak, so I'm checking the possible sources. Rear hatch rattles bad, some roof racks would be nice...blah blah. It never ends!

It's a '92. Not sure about the coolness of it's history. But I think it was Jon Voight's car.
