looking to buy 91 740
It has been stored in the garage and has never seen winter. 200 000km.
Just wondering if a car this old and that many kms is worth looking at. They are asking 1350$. Any info on the year and general problems would be great.
Thanks in advance.

With cars this old, what I look for is a good interior and a solid body - meaning no rust. If the interior and body is good, anything else is worth fixing. The engines on these cars are solid and last many miles as long as you don't overheat them or run them out of oil. Transmissions last for 250K miles or longer if they are regularily maintained (fluid changes) and not abused. If you do your own work on the car, parts are generally cheap to own. If you take it to a shop for all your work, well you may have to pay a bit.
Given that, check the interior for rips, tears, smoker, etc. For body, look for rust in the wheel wells, and underneath.
For the engine and transmission, look for oil leaks and check the color and cleanliness of the oil. If the oil is fresh in both, maybe they are trying to hide neglect. Engine oil should be clear or a little dirty isn't bad. Milky brown indicates possible head gasket issue. Transmission oil should be pink. Again, a little dirty isn't necessarily bad but dark or smelling burnt indicates neglect and potential problems.
Driving - it should be straight and true. No clunks or whines. Engine should pull smooth.
If you know suspensions, check for cracked or worn bushings.
