I'm pretty sure I know the answer already, but I'll ask anyway...
I bought an 86 740 GLE sedan w/only 112K miles last weekend and it has power windows but manual mirrors and sunroof.
I was hoping that maybe I could just buy two electric mirrors, new switch panel for the door and just hook them up, but I suppose Volvo did not make it that easy to the conversion, right?
Has anybody done this? If so, how big of an undertaking was it?
Thanks!

I haven't done mirrors but I have done electric seats and cruise control, and both those were pretty easy. The key is if the car is "prewired" for the mirrors which I believe it is but double check just to make sure. May be someone on the forum will know...
Yeah, the possible existence of prewiring is what I'm interested to know. Before I start tearing anything apart, that is, so hopefully somebody has done it.
