Default Need Help: Brakes won't bleed

Hello there. I have replaced the brake proportioning valve, (brake failure warning/pressure differential valve), and I am now trying to bleed the brakes. According to my haynes manual, there is a specific progression to follow for each "circuit." Bleeding the first cirucuit went fine...no problems: left rear, left front inner upper, right front inner upper, right rear. When I tried to bleed the second circuit, I ran into problems...I can't get any fluid to my caliper besides just spittle...also, the book says to open each lower bleeder valve together...I tried this with no luck. So, it would seem that there's a crimped line/blockage somewhere in the second circuit...if there is, I can find no evidence whatsoever.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or can someone direct me to a more specific outline of bleeding the 240's dual circuit?

And yes, I searched extensively before posting...thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

Ben

Are you power bleeding?
Or are you having help?

I always do R/R L/R R/F L/F. Sometimes if you use a power bleeder they don't work good on the older cars.

I have help.

So, you're saying that you can just bleed in a distance-oriented progression from the master cyl even though you're crossing circuits? Also, it looks like the circuit #2 part of the resivoir will not fill up...wtf?

That does sound funny. But I have never had a problem the way I bleed the system. For giggles start from the master and bleed that first then start all over again.

Problem solved...apparently I smashed the kneecaps of the old master cylinder's last legs while trying to bleed the system the first time. New master cylinder and now everything's tip top.

thanks for the help/advice.
